Installing a French Drain
Installing a French drain starts with a site evaluation to identify where water is pooling, and determine the best path for the drain to redirect it.
Once the route is mapped out, a trench is dug to the proper depth and slope so water will flow naturally through the system.
A layer of gravel is placed at the bottom of the trench, followed by a perforated pipe wrapped in a GEOtextile fabric that keeps soil and debris from clogging the system over time.
The pipe is then covered with more gravel and topped with sod to restore the surface of your yard, redirecting the water to the most optimal location away from your home.
